I spent about four hours yesterday trying on every piece of clothing I planned to take, discarding some and adding some, etc. I got everything in my suitcase, but felt I didn't have enough wiggle room. I planned to go back the next day and re-evaluate. Actually, before I went to bed I rechecked the 10-day forecast and decided I needed to make some changes.
This morning, after breakfast, Bob went into the bedroom and about ten minutes later he asked me to come in and look at something. When I went in, he had all of his clothes that he wanted to take laid out on the bed. He had three pairs of pants and about ten shirts! I couldn't believe it! He was all done with the decision making and I still had some changes to make! Men are so frustrating some times!
So this evening I spent forever arranging my make up and toiletries into smaller plastic zip-lock travel bags. I'm still not finished. Of course, Bob's toiletry bag is just about ready to go. One measly little bag! Of course, guess who has to pack all of the emergency type stuff - band aids, pepto bismol, Tylenol, etc.
Although we have traveled overseas many times, this is the first time in a long time that we are not going on a walking tour. Packing for those trips was so easy. Comfortable walking clothes for day and one pair of nice black pants and assorted tops for dinner time. This time we are staying in very nice, high end hotels and are not on a walking tour. Yes, we will walk but around town, not out in the country. Makes a difference.
